Quorvyn

Privacy notice

Last updated on

This page translates the German original . If the two ever differ, the German version applies.

This notice covers the website quorvyn.de and the Quorvyn company profiles on other platforms. It does not apply to the Quorvyn applications. Each application gets its own privacy notice and provides it when it is released, and none has been released so far. This is not a formality. Each application processes different data in a different way, most of them only on your device and Quorvyn News on a server by design, while this website is a hosted service of its own. Looking at them separately is the only way to describe all of them correctly.

Controller

Benny Botsch, trading as “Quorvyn”, Chemnitzer Straße 202, 12621 Berlin, Germany. You can reach us at contact@quorvyn.de.

What this website does not do

To put the list further down in context, here is the opposite first.

  • It sets no cookies, neither technically necessary ones nor any others. That is why there is no consent banner either.
  • There is no audience measurement. No Google Analytics, no tracking pixel, no counting method of any kind.
  • No third party content is embedded. No external fonts, no map services, no video platforms, no social media widgets. We serve the fonts from the same server as the page.
  • There is no user account and no contact form. You contact us through the email addresses given.

Server log files

The website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich (Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany) on servers in Germany. In doing so, ALL-INKL processes technical access data on our behalf, which includes the following.

  • your IP address
  • the date and time of access
  • the address requested
  • the browser used and its version, and the operating system
  • the referring page, if your browser sends one

This processing is technically necessary to deliver the site at all and to keep its operation secure.

There is no content delivery network in between. Your request goes straight to the hosting server, and there is no further party that sees the traffic on its way there.

Legal basis. Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and stable operation of the website.

Processing on our behalf. ALL-INKL has its registered office in Germany and runs its servers there too. No data is transferred to a third country when you visit this website, so standard contractual clauses are not needed for it.

Contacting us by email

If you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to reply.

Legal basis. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry concerns a contract, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise.

The mailboxes are run by the same provider, also as processing on our behalf. We delete correspondence as soon as it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligation stands in the way.

Company profiles on other platforms

Quorvyn runs its own profiles on LinkedIn, Mastodon, YouTube and GitHub. This website only links to them. As long as you do not follow one of the links, none of these platforms learns about your visit to quorvyn.de.

We use the profiles to publish posts about Quorvyn and its applications. When you open a profile, follow it or interact with a post, the platform processes your data under its own terms. We see only what the platform shows the profile owner, such as public comments, the list of followers and, on LinkedIn, aggregated page statistics. We do not export or store data about visitors.

Legal basis. Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in informing people about Quorvyn where they already spend their time, and in being able to answer their messages.

LinkedIn. The company page is hosted by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company in Ireland. For the page statistics (Page Insights), LinkedIn and Quorvyn are joint controllers under Article 26 GDPR. LinkedIn builds these statistics from the data of members who visit the page, follow it or interact with its posts, and shows us only aggregated figures that cannot be traced to a person. The essence of the arrangement is set out in the Page Insights Joint Controller Addendum. Under it, LinkedIn takes on the obligations of Articles 12 to 22 and 32 to 34 GDPR for these statistics. The lead supervisory authority is the Irish Data Protection Commission. You can send requests about the page statistics to LinkedIn or to us, and we pass them on to LinkedIn. For any other processing, LinkedIn is the sole controller and describes it in its privacy policy. LinkedIn may transfer data to LinkedIn Corporation in the United States.

Mastodon. The profile @Quorvyn@mastodon.social is hosted on the server mastodon.social. Its operator processes your data as an independent controller and describes this in its privacy policy. Mastodon is a network of independent servers. If you follow the profile from another server, that server receives a copy of every post, and its operator is an independent controller as well. There is no joint controllership with Quorvyn on Mastodon, because we receive no statistics about visitors there.

YouTube. The channel @Quorvyn-Social is run by Google Ireland Limited in Ireland as an independent controller. Google describes the processing in its privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Google may transfer data to Google LLC in the United States.

GitHub. The organisation daily-forge-systems is hosted by GitHub, Inc. in the United States, which processes your data as an independent controller and describes this in its privacy statement on docs.github.com.

You can exercise the rights in the next section against us and against the platform concerned. If a request concerns data that only the platform holds, we pass it on, because we have no access to it.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21). To exercise them, write to contact@quorvyn.de.

Independently of that, you can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

Changes

If the scope of this website changes, for example through a contact form, audience measurement or a login area, this notice changes with it. The date at the top shows the current version.
